Pitching up in Porthkerris
Who knew UK diving could be this good?
That was the question on everybody’s lips as we left Porthkerris after 5 days of the very best of British.
Twenty guys and girls pitched up on the beautiful Cornish coast for a chance to explore the Lizard Peninsula.
Our congratulations go out to the Meyrick family, Steph, Alex and Tom all qualifying as Open Water divers in the calm waters off Porthkerris Bay.
While that was going on, the others took the chance to explore Drawna Rock or hop aboard catamaran ‘Kitten’ to venture to the nearby wrecks and reefs.
The water was warm, the visibility was excellent, we barbecued at our mini Glastonbury, and despite the threat of a week of rain, some of us even caught the sun.
Perfect!
In fact it was so good we’ve already set a date to go back - ScoobaBoosta will descend on Porthkerris once again during the October half-term week, heading down for the weekend of October 24th and 25th.
