WE'RE back from a perfect few days in Porthkerris!
Basking in glorious sunshine in between some fantastic dives, we really couldn't have asked for more! We even spotted dolphins making their way across the bay!
Thirty of us pitched up on Cornwall's beautiful Lizard Peninsula for 4 nights from July 22nd to 26th.
There was shore diving around Drawna Reef, just a stone's throw from our campsite, a trip to Raglan Reef, part of The Manacles, and a day's diving a little further afield; the wreck of HMS Scylla in Whitsand Bay.
It was Liz Burdon-Bailey's ambition to dive this wreck having qualified as an Open Water Diver with us in Porthkerris last year, so we send personal congratulations to her for completing her mission! The rest of us emerged with smiles all round too, the Scylla having become a fantastic dive site since being sunk as a dive attraction in 2004.
Porthkerris was also the perfect place to sample a couple of night dives, with a fantastic beacon lit on the beach by Phil to guide us back to shore - and back to a drink or two fireside!
One of our favourite breaks of the year, we will of course be back in Porthkerris in 2012. As soon as we have the dates we'll let you know!
