MARCH marks the launch of a new club especially for water babies -SCOOBA-Kids.
Designed for youngsters aged 8+, the club will follow the structure of the PADI Bubblemaker/Seal Team programmes, giving our younger divers the opportunity to earn their Seal Team membership having completed 5 aqua-missions, all in the comfort and safety of a heated pool.
They can try their hand at wreck diving, search and recovery and possibly even a night dive - if we can persuade the pool authorities to switch the lights off that is!
Sarah explains: "SCOOBA-Kids is the perfect introduction to diving, designed to build confidence in the water whilst having a whole lot of fun. Of course our water babies will also learn the fundamental skills of scuba, the pefect platform from which to become Open Water Divers in the future."
SCOOBA-Kids also comes with a new venue and a new date and time. Club sessions will be run at the pristine pool at King Henry VIII School in Coventry, just 15 minutes from Warwick. This has enabled us to schedule them for 5pm on Saturday afternoons - more of a social hour than our weekday evening pool sessions in Warwick.
Membership of SCOOBA-Kids costs £20 per month - with payments to be taken by standing order. For this, youngsters can take part in 8 aqua-mission dives per year. A parent or guardian must remain poolside throughout each session, which ends at 6.30pm.
Details of the first confirmed SCOOBA-Kids dive dates are given here. To get your water babies on board, please get in touch now.
