IT WAS an action-packed week away for the 14 of us lucky enough to head to Dahab in November.
For history-lovers, a fascinating trip tp St Catherine's Monastry on Mount Sinai, for night owls, an evening quad bike trip into the desert, and for the adventurous, a fantastic camel trek to a secluded dive site.
Add to that, superb dive after superb dive, and it really was a trip to remember.
We took in Dahab's famous Blue Hole, and equally famous canyons, as well as venturing further afield, some of us even getting up before the sun to head out to the Thistlegorm.
We found time for a night dive, spotting the Spanish Dancer and even a sleeping turtle, before it woke up and quickly swam away!
Our camel trek had to be the highlight, an hour-and-a-half journey to Ras Abu Gallum, where we were able to dive from the shore, and enjoy a wonderful Bedouin lunch, before trekking back the way we came, all with a new found respect for our four-legged companions!
