As a dive professional leading less experienced divers or as a keen underwater photographer how close do you stay to a buddy who could really help you in an emergency?

.......but firstly; this course isn't about solo diving - it's about being self-reliant if you're caught in a problem on your own.

As divers gain experience and start perhaps as Rescue Divers to see the advantages of introducing redundancy into their kit configuration they may well follow the example of others without giving serious consideration to to the importance of making this new configuration work for them. The course will introduce concepts of redundancy and address aspects of kit configuration firstly in the classroom before completing the training over three dives in open water.

Importantly this course is only available to those with a minimum of 100 logged dives and whose personal kit includes as a minimum a redundant air source, an SMB and reel, an additional surface signalling device, a knife a torch (and backup) and underwater slates.
