Enriched Air Diver

Nitrox used to be thought of as a strange “technical” gas. No longer! It’s now an essential tool for all divers wishing to gain the maximum dive time on shallower dive sites. As such many overseas dive centres provide Nitrox without additional charge on extended dive holidays – provided you’re certified. This greatly increasing the dive opportunities on sites with a maximum depth around 30m so why not go for it?

Run as a dry course over one evening, or over half a day in the classroom, this course will provide certification to permit the diver to use Nitrox with 22% to 40% Oxygen.

This course covers the following topics:

  • The planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of Enriched Air / Nitrox diving
  • Risk factors and decompression tables review

Divers may choose to use a Nitrox mix on a training dive at a later date to gain experience on the use of the gas in a live environment.

The minimum entry requirement is Open Water diver over the age of 15
