Deep Diver

For those Advanced Open Water divers looking to dive beyond the limit of 30m this course is designed to be an introduction to deep diving and to help the student diver develop the necessary skills, knowledge and techniques to safely participate in deep diving activities.

With four dives run over two days, and with an evening spent in the classroom, this course will provide certification and experience of diving to depths up to 40m.

This course covers the following topics:

Planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of deep diving
Risk factors and decompression tables review
Safety stops and emergency decompression procedures
Special equipment, descent lines and buoyancy control considerations
Procedures for flying after diving
Orientation to recompression chambers

The minimum entry requirements are to be an Advanced Open Water diver over the age of 15
