The PADI Bubblemaker is a fun programme introducing young water babies to scuba in the comfort of a heated pool and uses dive kit tailored to the smaller diver.

Course Details:

The Bubblemaker is PADI’s fun introduction to scuba, designed specifically for youngsters. It gives them the chance to dip their toes into the diving world, breathing underwater for the very first time and trying their hand at all sorts of under-the-surface antics. While the course doesn’t lead to any formal qualification, it is the perfect place for those aged 8 or over to start.

If the youngsters catch the diving bug they might consider joining one of our Seal Teams where the experience can continue with sessions running on Saturdays once a month in Rugby, Coventry or Stratford upon Avon.

Parents or guardians are very welcome to come along to the Bubblemaker programme, to watch poolside or to take a dip alongside the youngsters.

The course consists of 2 parts:

Part 1: In the classroom

Before diving in, the water babies and their parents will learn the golden rules of scuba chatting to our professional dive team. They will be fully coached on underwater safety, as well as being introduced to dive equipment, hand signals, and the fun and games they’re about to play. Youngsters have all sorts of questions and we’re happy to spend as long as necessary answering them to ensure everyone’s ready to head to the pool.

Part 2: In the water

We will then make our way to the pool where the young aquanauts will change into swimwear and an old t-shirt. We’ll then invite them poolside to try on their mask, snorkel and fins. On cue, they will then jump into the heated pool and try on their scuba gear. Then it’s time for the fun bit - those first underwater breaths - all before mastering the art of floating and getting down to those under-the-surface games. There will be hoops, toypedos and everyone’s favourite - the underwater egg and spoon race.

This programme takes place over 1 session with weekday evenings in Warwick or Saturday afternoons at our centres in Rugby, Coventry or Stratford upon Avon.

The cost of the Bubblemaker session is £50 - just bring swimwear and a sense of fun - we'll provide the rest.
